_____________
Alice By Heart is a contemporary reimagining of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, set in a London Underground shelter during the Blitz. As bombs fall above, a young Alice Spencer escapes into the familiar story to cope with fear, loss, and the fragile boundary between childhood and adulthood. Guided by Lewis Carroll’s characters, the musical explores grief, first love, and the courage it takes to grow up when the world feels unbearably uncertain. With a haunting, poetic score by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik and a book by Jessie Nelson, Alice By Heart blends fantasy and reality into a tender story about imagination as an act of survival.
